At this pivotal juncture in its history, USF is seeking a talented, mission-driven individual to provide professional, confidential, and proactive support to the President. In conjunction with the Chief of Staff, the selected candidate will help ensure the President remains focused on his highest priorities.

The Special Assistant will coordinate the President’s professional calendar, coordinate special events, and schedule travel. Develop agendas, presentations, and daily background documents for the President.  Assist the President in communicating with internal and external constituents (e.g., Board of Trustees, Board of Governors, business leaders, university donors and alumni, and governmental officials) and do so in a highly professional and courteous manner.

The selected candidate will need to have:

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a mature customer service focus;
  • Organizational and planning skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing agendas
  • Qualities of an ideal team player, including initiative, emotional intelligence, and a sense of shared purpose and collective success; and
  • High proficiency in MS Office - specifically MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
