Job Purpose

The Director of Planning and Research leads the enterprise-level survey and analytical studies efforts of the College’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE). The Director collaborates with and advises departments on the development, dissemination, and analysis of results for on-campus surveys studies. Responsible for 3-7 large regional and/or national surveys on a rotating basis. The Director also supports the Colleges’ accreditation processes for reaffirmation by SACSCOC.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in a business or education setting is required. Master’s degree in statistics or an applicable field is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with survey design, dissemination and analytical studies. Familiarity with the Qualtrics survey management system, SPS and SAS is preferred. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local policies, regulations, and accreditation procedures is preferred.

Additional Comments Regarding Position

Travel to conferences, plus evening and weekend work may be required.
