The Financial Administrative Coordinator administers the daily financial operations of the clients reporting to the School of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office, including all administrative units. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, payroll processing, purchasing, travel and misc. reimbursements, and all aspects of account reconciliation and reporting. Position will also assist across the Financial Operations team to fill in where there are service needs. Position reports to the Manager of the SAS Central RBO.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma and 5 to 7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. BA/BS and 1-2 years' experience strongly preferred.
Experience working in a university business office environment preferred
Experience with Penn's financial systems
(BEN, UMIS, TEM/CONCUR, Workday, and Business Objects/Infoview) is preferredThe successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students; must demonstrate a proactive work style with strong follow-up skills; must be able to work under pressure; and must perform duties with strong attention to detail. In addition, the candidate must have effective interpersonal skills and be able to enforce guidelines and protocols with constituents (faculty, staff and students) in a diplomatic and assertive manner. This position requires the ability to switch gears depending on processing and/or project deadlines and remain flexible in order to adapt to changing priorities. Must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
