Department Summary:HSC Health is the academic clinical practice plan for the Health Science Center. Focused on primary care and improving health outcomes to all to build a healthier community, HSC Health has 13 unique clinics on the HSC campus as well as an off-site obstetrics and genecology location in medical district of Fort Worth. In each clinic, an interprofessional team works collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient. Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, specialized technicians, and nurses work together as well as intentionally integrate health care students, residents, and fellows into patient care and commit to train providers of the future within the clinical practice.
Position Overview:Position is responsible for providing primary care services and participates within an interprofessional team focused on the delivery of services within a primary care ambulatory care setting. Position requires the clinical assessment/evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients in accordance with standard of care.
Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree and five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Must have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program, or an accredited Graduate Nursing Program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:•Ability to obtain a Texas Physician Assistant License, Advance Practice Registered Nurse License, Nurse Practitioner
•Ability to practice medicine within the scope of license, training and credentials
•Ability to care for a diverse patient population
Competency in primary care delivery and team based care models
Required License / Registration / Certification:Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program or Graduate Nursing Program
Ability to obtain a Texas Physician Assistant License, Advance Practice Registered Nurse License, Nurse Practitioner
Ability to practice medicine within the scope of license, training and credentials
Ability to care for a diverse patient population
