RESEARCH TECHNICIAN,MED School of Medicine, Mass Spectrometry Research
Tracking Code1942 Job DescriptionThe laboratory technician will be assisting graduate students and postdocs on their research projects. S/he will be resonsible for routine sample preparation for mass spectrometry analysis, including glycan release, purification, and derivatizations. S/he will also be tasked with data analysis after receiving training on mass spectral data interpretation.There will be opportunities for further training on HPLC and MS analyses if the incumbant has demonstrated an aptitude for such responsibilities after his/her first year of employment.
Required Skills- Bachelor’s Degree required. Experience in mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and/or glycobiology preferred
