Lehigh University's Department of Mathematics is seeking applications to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in algebraic number theory or arithmetic geometry, beginning Fall 2021. We seek individuals with a specialization in one of these areas that would enhance and complement the active research areas in the department. Areas of related current department research include algebra, algebraic geometry, number theory, field theory, algebraic combinatorics, and differential geometry. Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, or equivalent; the pursuit of a vigorous research program; and a commitment to deliver high quality teaching and mentoring to undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students. Lehigh University publishes the Journal of Differential Geometry, a leading research journal.

 

We are looking for a scholar who will contribute to the activities of the Department and the University. Postdoctoral experience is desirable, but not required.
