This is a three-academic-year, full-time (100%), non-tenure track position, with the possibility of renewal. The position begins fall 2021.

Who We AreThe Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures houses programs in German (BA, MA, PhD), Russian (BA, MA), and Nordic Studies (minor). For more information about our department, please visit our web site (https://www.colorado.edu/gsll/ ).What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeTeaching responsibilities will include all levels of Russian language. Candidates will also teach courses in 20th-century and/or contemporary Russian culture in English and/or Russian. Teaching load is three courses per semester. The position entails service components related to language placement, teaching assistant observation, assessment of learning outcomes, and participation in extra-curricular activities of the program.What We Can OfferThe salary range is $54,000 - $61,250. • Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English.
• MA degree or equivalent in Russian Studies, Russian Linguistics, or a closely related field.
• College-level language teaching experience.
• Familiarity with current language pedagogy and the ACTFL guidelines.

What We Would Like You To Have

• PhD or equivalent in Russian Studies, Russian Linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Evidence of an active research agenda in language pedagogy or second-language acquisition (i.e. publications or conference presentations).
