Penn Dental Medicine’s Office of Academic Affairs oversees and supports curriculum initiatives, student learning and experiences, program initiatives and implements policies and procedures as determined by standards of accreditation. The team is actively recruiting for an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, PROGRAM SCHEDULING & DATA ANALYTICS.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Academic Affairs, the position utilizes advanced learning and administrative management systems to further advance the School's innovation efforts. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the planning and scheduling of all course lectures, clinical rotations and seminars. This individual will also play an integral role in tracking overall student performances and aggregating student portfolios and providing feedback with supporting data to ensure students’ academic progress and that all required benchmarks are being met.Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
- 40% - Plan and schedule all course lectures, clinic and laboratory sessions, clinic rotations, and seminars in Excel, the PDM Scheduling Manager and/or axiUm, and manage room reservation system.
- 30% - Manage all quantitative and qualitative assessment efforts, data collection and reporting from across all PDM departments, for student performance metrics and portfolio generation, and for accreditation. Serve as departmental expert on fields and records in the students’ database and the tools used to generate reports, lists, data extracts, etc. Develop and maintain training materials and/or quick reference guides for team members, including documentation of policies and workflow protocols.
- 10% - Administer Selective education program, PDM’s elective education program and the course/clinic and faculty evaluation system.
- 10% - Provide training and support for educational technology platforms including Scheduling Manager, axiUm, Selectives Database, ExamSoft, Canvas and Panopto.
- 5% - Provide secondary support for the Penn Dental Medicine Registrar and serve as a OAA liaison with the Office of the University Registrar.
- 5% - Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience required. Previous experience with generating customized, user-friendly reports from large datasets preferred. Previous experience in academic setting working with students and faculty preferred. Previous experience working with ExamSoft or similar software such as Canvas and Qualtrics, and ability to navigate and create online resources preferred. Knowledge of University policies and procedures preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly with Microsoft Excel macros) and Adobe Suite is required.
Experience working with data entry, analysis and management is required.
Candidates with demonstrated experience in more than one educational technology and administrative platform, including Smartsheets, ExamSoft, axiUm, Canvas, Qualtrics, Panopto, BlueJeans and/or Ellucian/Banner preferred.
