  • Position Description:

    The Data Analyst works collaboratively with revenue cycle and clinical departments to support coding functions, denials analysis and provider/staff education. Provides clinical documentation review to interpret to an ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes for appropriate authorization and medical necessity functions prior to service.

    The analyst performs denials root cause analysis, working with a cross-functional team to educate and implement process improvement. Identify developing trends to expedite corrective measures within front end operations.


    Required Education/Experience/Licensing:· Minimum five years experience with data analysis, Microsoft Excel and coding software applications

    · Graduated from an accredited American Health Information Management Association approved HIM program

    · Must have and maintain a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification

    Required Communication and other skills:

  • Must have working knowledge to operate a computer in a window based environment utilizing various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook to produce and manage essential reports and correspondence. Must be able to utilize computer keyboard proficiently.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with minimum supervision, while applying analytical skills to carry out instructions
  • Demonstrates ability to develop and maintain professional service oriented working relationships with patients, families, physicians, nurses, co-workers, supervisors and others. Ability to provide excellence customer satisfaction when presenting information and respond to questions from staff, patient and the general public. Ability to deal with confrontation and stressful working environment while maintaining excellence in customer service.
