Position Summary:The Women’s Research and Resource Center invites applications for a tenure- track position with a focus on women’s health at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2021. Candidates should have teaching experience and a commitment to research in global women’s health and Women’s and Gender studies. Candidates should be prepared to teach introductory women’s studies and upper division courses in women’s health, as well as assist in strengthening the women’s health concentration as a component of the Comparative Women’s Studies major. Specialized fields may include health status of women of African descent; political economy of health; and comparative feminist health studies. Grant writing experience as well as evidence of successful research and the potential for publication are desirable.
Qualifications:Ph.D. in Women’s Studies or related area; Candidate with specialization in medical anthropology; history of science/medicine; or related interdisciplinary programs such as African American Studies, African Diaspora Studies, American Studies are highly desirable.
