Job Summary

The Department of Radiology has an opening for a full-time faculty member in the Diagnostic Division, at the rank of Instructor as a Radiology Assistant (RA) (RPA).

Duties

The successful recruit will be required to perform various diagnostic procedures and exams as well as assists the radiologists in performing exams. The role works in conjunction with physicians. The position is responsible for providing clinical imaging services in addition to:

Performing imaging procedures according to established protocols and under direct supervision and when necessary personal supervision of the radiologists.

    Providing preliminary reports to radiologist.Providing technical assistance to staff in the department.Consulting on work in progress and completed work to assure accuracy. Studying and standardizing procedures to improve efficiency of the department.Providing physician prescribed post-care instructions to patients. Demonstrating equipment use, new techniques, and procedures to staff. Issuing written and oral instructions. Participating in the quality assurance program to conform to federal, state, local, and hospital regulations and guidelines. Working effectively with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, patients, physicians and other external contacts.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $90,000 to $110,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

    Graduate of an accredited Radiologist Assistant Program is required.Board Certified Radiology Practitioner Assistant (CBRPA) and/or Board Certified Registered Radiologist Assistant (ARRT) required.Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A R.R T.) with certification in Radiography.
Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree or more than 5 years’ experience in a radiologist assistant role. The individual would have a proven interest in clinical research.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
