Lorain County Community College seeks a Dean who is an innovative academic leader and who will continue a strong tradition of excellence.

The Dean of Teaching and Learning Support has overall responsibility for the administrative operation and management of the LCCC Teaching and Learning Support Division, faculty and staff supervision, the division/department budgets, strategic visioning and continuous improvement for the departments within the division, the learning resources, programs, and services offered, the marketing communications and promotion of all division services and support, and the utilization of campus facilities. Guided by the college’s strategic vision, Vision 2025, the Dean has the leadership responsibility for ensuring a student-centered and user-centered approach to the work of the five departments within the division, namely the LCCC Bass Library (Library Services), Tutoring Services, Accessibility Services, Digital Learning Support & Services (DLSS), and Instructional Development & Innovation (IDI). The Dean is critically important to the future growth and development of the Lorain County Community College vision for digital and online learning as a student-focused, learning-centered educational institution and provides leadership in the planning, developing, implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of the division’s academic support services.

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science or Distance Education/Learning; five years of successful experience in a library or education administration/teaching; thorough knowledge of library database systems; and detailed knowledge of new learning and teaching technologies and their applicability to the college’s programs and needs.

Preferred Qualifications:  Online or blended college teaching experience.
