Job Summary:

Postdoctoral fellow will support clinical and community-basedresearch into biological and behavioral approaches for the treatment andprevention of substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have experiencecollecting data from diverse pools of human subjects, writing and managing IRBprotocols, conducting data analysis, and writing manuscripts. The candidatewill be well mentored and supported in manuscript writing and presentations atnational conferences. The fellow may help conduct randomized controlled trials(RCTs) in order to improve outcomes of treatment and recovery.

Postdoctoral fellow willassist with the following duties: a) manuscript preparation from existingdatasets; b) delivering behavioral interventions to study participants; c)clinical data collection; d) data analysis; and e) designing and implementingnew translational research studies. The fellow will have opportunities tocoauthor multiple scientific articles from existing primary datasets and writefederal grants leveraging the resources and interdisciplinary connections, acrossPublic Health, Psychiatry, Psychology, Neuroscience, Family Medicine, and HumanDevelopment and Family Science, among other departments.

Aim hire date is August 2021.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- PhD in Public Health, Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, or a related discipline
- Must have good scientific writing skills with a solid publication record, clinical research experience, and strong quantitative data analytic skills

Preferred:
- Experience working in the field of substance use or abuse, clinical experience (e.g., mental health, addiction, and/or chronic pain populations), and/or previous study coordination experience on Federally-funded studies
