Job Summary:The University Press of Kentucky publishes 50-60 academic and trade books per year, and its Editorial, Design & Production team is responsible for the editing, typesetting, and manufacturing of each title. This part-time position would assist EDP staff with tasks related to book production, including file prep; photo/art review; importation, resizing, and reformatting of art files; checking and adjusting print specifications; uploading files to printing partners; prepping and uploading files to EPUB vendors; monitoring status of ongoing projects; entering status updates into a press-wide database. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop, in particular) is required. Experience with publishing is preferred.
