Nature of Work:

This position serves as the designated school official and primary counselor for prospective and current international students, scholars, and visitors at the College. The position leads the student immigration process and will manage issues regarding students’ overall adjustment to the College and the required process for their immigration status. This position is also responsible for actively recruiting transfer students and special populations by providing current information about the College and its programs, pre-enrollment course recommendations, as well as the transfer application process to students, faculty, and staff.

Essential Duties :

•Manages all areas of international student services including enrollment- recruitment, admissions and orientation as well as record-keeping and services for current students.
•Serves as designated school official in the creation, maintenance, and completion of SEVIS and other records for international students.
•Manages recruitment and admissions for transfer, non-traditional, and non-degree students and is responsible for meeting transfer student recruitment and enrollment goals.
•Serves as in-house enrollment counselor for admissions inquiries and other campus visitors while maintaining a high level of customer service.
•Develops external relations with technical colleges, community colleges, and community partners to build relationships and develop articulation agreements, bridge programs, and memorandums of understanding to support a seamless transfer and enrollment process.
•Coordinates on and off campus events for prospective transfer students including college fairs, community events, and other activities while also serving as an advisor for international student and transfer mentors.
•Develops customized communications plans for transfer, non-degree seeking, and other student groups and assists with the creation of recruitment collateral in coordination with marketing and other college stakeholders.
•Contributes to additional functions and projects in the Office of Admissions; serves on various college committees, and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Training:

•Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.
•Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive a company vehicle
•Must satisfactorily pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) background check

Preferred Qualifications and Training:

•One or two years of progressively increasing responsibility in higher education or related field is preferred.
•Preferred experience serving as a Designated School Official and knowledge of immigration and customs documentation.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday; 8 AM - 5 PM. Occasional Nights and Weekends
