A Postdoctoral Position is available in the Jordt laboratory for a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in interdisciplinary approaches to study chemosensory mechanisms of toxicant detection and their role in pulmonary and cutaneous inflammation, pain and chemical injury. Candidates should have a strong enthusiasm for working with animal models and a solid background in general pharmacological, toxicological, biochemical, molecular biological or physiological methods. Previous experience with animal research in small or large animal species, in pulmonary physiology, lung or cutaneous injury models or pain models is a plus. The position is supported by grants from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).
Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g. Sc.D., M.D., D.V.M.) in Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Toxicology, Physiology, Veterinary Sciences or related fields.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMin Degree Requirements: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g. Sc.D., M.D., D.V.M.). Other Credential/Experiential Requirements: The incumbent must be a true post-doctoral fellow
