The University of Dayton Department of Engineering Management, Systems, and Technology seeks qualified applicants for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor specializing in the area of Systems Engineering. This position will start on August 16, 2021.

Minimum Qualifications

All applicants must have completed all requirements for their PhD in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or an equivalent related discipline by July 15, 2021.

In addition, all applicants must have a minimum of five years of relevant industry or academic experience in the area of Systems Engineering. Candidates must have excellent written communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to understanding and promoting inclusive excellence.

Successful candidates must demonstrate a record of research or scholarship in the area of Systems engineering and provide evidence of teaching excellence in foundational systems engineering courses including requirements planning and model-based systems engineering. Appointment with tenure in this position requires a record of teaching, research and service commensurate with the criteria for tenure in the School of Engineering at the University of Dayton.

Also, please provide a statement of how you would promote inclusive excellence through your research, teaching, and service. Other than the cover letter and curriculum vitae, there is a limit of two pages for each of the above items. If the Ph.D. is not completed, the research advisor must include a letter stating that the candidate will complete all requirements by this date.
