Postdoctoral Associa te- Division of Trauma, Acute and Critical Care


The Department of Surgery at the Duke University School of Medicine is seeking to hire a motiva ted Post-doctoral Associate. The Kasotakis lab is a new lab conducting r esearch aiming to mitigate the inflammatory response in a murine model o f pneumonia and Acute Lung Injury/Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (A RDS).


Candidates should:

  • Have a solid u nderstanding of key inflammatory pathways

  • Experien ce with a wide range of analytical techniques, including protein analysi s, RNA isolation, rtPCR &immunohistochemistry.

    Experience with small animals is preferred.

  • Fle xibility, teamwork, excellent analytical skills

  • Ha ve the initiative to drive novel projects forward

  • The ideal candidate would be a motivated, productive new or mid-career p ost-doc, who can function independently.
