General SummaryIn anticipation of the need for teaching the Academic English classes and the English language portion of the Pathway program, the Office of International Pathways invites applications for non-tenure-track English language teaching positions.
These positions are represented by the Illinois State University Education Association and may have associated dues or fees.
The Office of International Pathways provides Academic English as well as Pathway Programs for international students to prepare for and successfully progress to the university's 160+ undergraduate and 94 graduate degrees.
Required Qualifications1. Master's in TESOL or Master's in related field.
2. One year experience teaching ESL to adults.
3. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
4. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
