  • Conducting, and assisting the Director of KM in conducting, data-related process analyses for Planning and Knowledge Management (PKM) and other COM units, including determination of requirements and identification of difficulties and inefficiencies in existing processes.

  • Acting as a technical project manager, key technical contact, and liaison for the COM Department of Health & Information Technology (H&IT) for the COM KM Database programs and applications, specifically including analysis, integration and reporting services.
  • Working with the Director of KM in providing assistance in coordinating data-related technical projects and communicating and with other technical and quasi-technical units of COM.
  • Participating in the specification, design, and implementation of the COM KM architecture.
  • Developing the logical design and executing the logical integration and modification of COM KM databases and associated application, including assessment and curriculum databases. Working in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, training, support, and maintenance.
  • Serving as the key technical consultant for use, modification, design, and implementation of COM KM databases and applications, consultation directly with administration, faculty, and staff in KM, Assessment, and other COM Departments in regards to the KM databases and applications; providing support to the above on utilization of the COM Database programs and applications.
  • Acting as a primary developer in all phases of the design and implementation of the COM KM databases, programs, and applications; ensure that the solution is developed according to business requirements, Assessment, and other COM managers and users providing technical direction to junior KM developers.
  • Working closely with the Clerkship team to track the Undergraduate Medical Education students' schedules; to automate all data-related processes; and to streamline their operations.
  • Executing and approving technical changes to COM's Assessment and curriculum databases and data dictionaries.
  • In association with COM H&IT, ensuring COM KM databases and associated applications are at optimum performance for users.
  • In association with COM H&IT, determining access and restrictions for COM KM databases and associated application.
  • Participate in the analysis of software and products, to study the feasibility of using them at COM. Stay updated with new database technologies and analyze such technologies to bring into the scope of existing infrastructure.
  • Promoting the accomplishment of COM KM through publication and participation in professional journals and conferences; assisting with grant proposals and other attempts to obtain funding to enhance the mission of COM KM further. Assisting with academic publication and funding proposals.
  • Other duties as assigned ,including but not limited to required ,university and college trainings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Data Science, IT or a related field.
  • MSDBA, Data Engineer and Data Scientist Certifications
  • Experience in higher education, preferably medical educations.
  • Experience and knowledge in computer database design, relational database system, schema, normalization, and integration.
  • Experience with education management, curriculum & assessment implications, and demonstrate the ability to work well with a diverse employee and user community.
  • Computer skills including MS SQL server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, TSQL, Visual Studio, TFS, SDLC, Teams, SharePoint, MS Office Suite.
