Job Title: Program Support Specialist for Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program, School of Nursing

POSITION SUMMARY

Serves to support the School of Nursing as support to the DNP program via scheduling courses, processing payroll, and coordinating student residencies.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Administrative Assistant/Office Manager, IWU-National & Global

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work with academic leadership and faculty schedulers to assure course assignments meet established criteria.Processes project advisor and mentor agreements and compensation. Develop and manage program calendars according to plan of study. Communicates with faculty regarding course lists and student rostersWorks with academic leadership on processes related to student, faculty orientation, evaluation, and credential verification. Coordinates review of student applications, interviews and documentation storage.Coordinates with various departments to support educational components of the doctoral nursing programs.Assists with compilation and analysis of reports related to student, faculty and DNP program.Provides logistical support for student residencies and global trips.Other duties as assigned.

Education

    Baccalaureate Degree required.
Experience

    Experience with Microsoft Office and IWU computer systems/willing to learn IWU computer systemsPrevious administrative experience, preferably in higher education.
Required Skills

    Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

    Work independently and within a team environment
    Exceptional communication skills
    Confidentiality/Professionalism
