Oregon Tech is Accepting Applications for Adjunct Instructors for the College of Engineering, Technology, and Management

The College of Engineering, Technology, and Management (ETM) at Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) is recruiting a pool of persons for possible part-time adjunct teaching positions. Qualified applicants may be invited to serve as temporary adjunct instructors to provide course coverage for assigned Oregon Tech faculty who may be unable to teach (such appointment will be paid on an hourly basis), or teach for an entire quarter (such appointments will be dependent upon the assigned the course load).

Candidates interested in adjunct teaching positions should apply online and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information. In your cover letter, please specify those areas or courses that you are qualified to offer and would be interested in teaching.

Oregon Tech’s general areas of need within ETM are adjuncts who can teach courses in management, civil engineering, computer systems engineering technology, electrical and renewable energy engineering, general engineering, mechanical and manufacturing engineering, and geomatics.

This pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises as early as January 2021. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than one year. After one year, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.

Requirements: Master’s Degree or higher; experience teaching

Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard) and virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, Teams

Teaching Modality: Appointments may include courses offered on-line, in person on campus, hybrid, or related clinic or lab, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements.

Location: Oregon Tech’s primary campus locations include Klamath Falls, OR and Wilsonville, OR. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online.
