General Summary
The Department of Special Education & Communications and Disorders at EMU anticipates vacancies in Special Education and/or Communication Sciences and Disorders courses.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes (including at least one office hour weekly), assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course material to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.
QualificationsA masters or doctoral degree in special education with experience teaching special education in K-12 schools or a masters or doctoral degree in communication sciences and disorders with communication sciences and disorders experience and appropriate licensure.Supplemental InformationRequired attachments – cover letter, current vita/resumeOptional attachments – graduate transcripts; letters of recommendation [will be notified if required]
