The Goldman School of Dental Medicine seeks to find a Dental Radiology Technician who will Instruct, supervise, and assist DMD/AS students during their Radiology rotations while exposing intraoral and extraoral radiographs on patients. This includes pre-clinical mannequin training and orientations to students on rotations. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Radiology Director. Organize and present radiology content and clinical instruction during the BU Dental Assisting Training Program radiology certification and state certification programs. Ensure inventory of supplies is sufficient to sustain the activities of the Division of Oral Radiology. Approval of Digital Images: Confirm that all images in the Radiology Clinic are approved daily. Assist Radiology Director in holding accountable any faculty, residents or staff who have not followed protocol in approving radiographs. Troubleshoot issues with imaging as needed. Assist students in their search for CDCA/WREB patients. Assist students in exporting images to the shared drive in preparation for the board exam.

Requirements:

Active MA Licensed Dental Assistant, Radiology Certified, Extensive knowledge of Dental X-ray machines, (intraoral and extraoral), digital sensors.

Must be able to work independently on confidential assignments.

Excellent time management and organizational skills; multi-tasking skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Must demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable to rapid changes in the daily work environment.

Must have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work as a team.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salud & MiPACS
