Professor of Accounting and Business (Search Reopened)
Spartanburg Methodist College seeks a Professor of Accounting and Business starting in the Fall 2021 semester. Qualifications include a terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in the field of Accounting or a terminal degree in business with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting. Candidates that are ABD in the field of business will also be considered. Prior experience teaching Accounting and a qualification to teach in an additional business field is desired for this position. Candidates with the capability of teaching Finance courses in addition to Accounting are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with positive career experience, a strong teaching record, a passion to positively influence students, and an ability to communicate effectively. Teaching responsibilities involve teaching courses in business, accounting, finance, and other fields as needed both online and on-ground. In addition, faculty members are expected to serve on committees, as advisors, student mentors, and other job-related duties as assigned while maintaining office hours.
