Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Hematology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of hematopoiesis and megakaryopoiesis with skills in working with both induced-pluripotent stem cells and primary human cells. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree or its equivalent.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include Independent research in the area of hematopoiesis and megakaryopoiesis. Must be able to carry out their own bioinformatic analysis. Training in platelet biology is important. The ability to write first draft abstracts, papers and grants is also important. Will be asked to guide research technicians and work with others on collaborative projects. In this research position, the successful candidate will be expected to obtain extramural funding from grants and other sources and develop a strong record of scholarly publications.
