Description
Temple University’s Identity Management Group needs an Identity Management Systems Developer. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the daily operation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and processes, with limited supervision. The Identity Management Systems Developer should have knowledge in any of our core competencies listed below:
Authentication and Authorization technologies; Data storage and aggregation technologies; IAM full-stack development and deployment, in a microservice or containerized environment. 
They will also assist in building automation to replace manual tasks and engage vendors, work with others to resolve problems. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of directly related experience in an application development or identity management position. Experience must include a working knowledge of interaction with identity and access management systems (LDAP, enterprise registries, etc.). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  Required Skills & Abilities:* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with diverse groups of individuals.* Ability to work comfortably in a Unix SSH command line environment.* Demonstrated understanding of at least one of the following: Authentication and Authorization technologies, Data storage and aggregation technologies, IAM full-stack development and deployment, primarily in NodeJS or Perl.* Ability to adapt to change, solve problems creatively, and communicate effectively.* Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technologies - this role requires a problem solver with a motivated personality.* Understanding of the concept of infrastructure-as-code.* Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Preferred:* Prior administration of Shibboleth/SAML and/or TLS infrastructures.* Programming experience in a variety of languages. This position requires a background check Please note this position will temporarily work remotely, the duration of remote work will be at the discretion of Temple University and the department. Temple University values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity for all persons regardless of age, color, disability, ethnicity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status or any other status protected by law. Compliance Statement: In the performance of their functions as detailed in the position description employees have an obligation to avoid ethical, legal, financial and other conflicts of interest to ensure that their actions and outside activities do not conflict with their primary employment responsibilities at the institution.
