Description:

The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology within the College of Public Health and Health Professions invites applications for up to two open rank tenure-track faculty positions. The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology (http://chp.phhp.ufl.edu) is a unique, freestanding academic clinical psychology program with 31 core faculty, over 80 doctoral students, and two APA accredited programs: a doctoral program in clinical psychology and a clinical internship in professional psychology. We also have a post-doctoral fellowship that is soon to apply for APA accreditation, which includes 2 Health Psychology, 2 Child/Pediatric and 2 Neuropsychology slots. The Department has a 50-year history of providing APA-accredited doctoral and internship training in clinical psychology and advanced specialty-specific training in our four concentration areas. The doctoral program has been ranked in the 93rd percentile by the National Research Council’s data-based ranking system.

The UF Health Science Center (https://ufhealth.org/about-us) is the country’s only academic health center with six health-related colleges located on a single, contiguous campus. They include the colleges of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Health Professions, and Veterinary Medicine. The Health Science Center generates more than half of UF’s total research awards. The UF Health Science Center is closely affiliated with UF Health, part of the University of Florida Health System. Within the healthcare system are an 850 bed teaching hospital, an 81-bed psychiatric hospital, a 40 bed outpatient rehabilitation facility, and numerous outpatient and specialty clinics including a Psychology Specialties Clinic run by the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology.
