The School of Medicine Office of Admissions seeks an Intermediate or Senior Administrative Coordinator to provide customer service and important administrative office functions. The incumbent must communicate effectively and professionally when composing email correspondence and monitoring and managing the primary office email inbox. Similarly, the successful candidate will be responsible for answering incoming phone calls and responding to questions in a professional manner. Comfort with telephone communication will be critical in the role as well as comfort with and basic working knowledge of video call platforms such as Zoom. In addition, ideal candidates will possess strong organization and time management skills. The incumbent will be required to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and will need to prioritize their workload and multi-task as needed. As well, this position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The incumbent will present a welcoming presence when working directly with students and visitors while adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Represent the School of Medicine in a front-line capacity by offering superior customer service via telephone, email, and in-person exchanges.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and handle highly sensitive and personal data in an appropriate manner.
- Utilize high attention to detail and organization skills when processing application documents.
- Collaborate as an integral member of the admissions team while providing support with ongoing projects.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn new software platforms with training and guidance.
- Maintain flexibility in a dynamic working environment.
- Comfort with asking for assistance and guidance and the ability to be responsive to feedback when working with customers.
- Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Anticipated hiring range is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour and dependent upon experience.

This is a restricted position; continuation is dependent on funding and satisfactory performance.
Intermediate Administrative Coordinator Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: At least four years of relevant experience. Experience in an administrative role in a higher education setting is strongly preferred.
Senior Administrative Coordinator Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma.
Experience: Six years of experience. Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience. Experience in an administrative role in a higher education setting is strongly preferred.
