Counselor

Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Counselor (Student Services Program Coordinator II). This is a full-time, 10.5 month position with benefits in Counseling Services.

Duties include, but are not limited to: provide an array of mental health services to college students with a primary focus on individual, couples, and group counseling; provide crisis intervention, case management, on-call/after hour rotation with other counselors, and community outreach/consultation across campus; demonstrate expertise in providing counseling to diverse and marginalized populations; be able to assess and intervene in a wide range of psychological disorders and developmental challenges; demonstrate the ability to perform individual, couples and group counseling; and demonstrate the ability to consult and build relationships across campus.

Qualifications: Candidates must currently hold a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field. Candidates must be eligible or currently licensed in South Carolina in a field directly related to education. Two (2) years of related experience and a demonstrated record of successful performance in and commitment to the practice of counseling with both individuals and groups are preferred.
