Job Description:


  • Responsible for all aspects of the adjunct hiring process, including; post open job positions, conduct reference checks, prepare contracts, onboard, and review and process adjunct pay spreadsheets, working closely with the payroll department. Process overload contracts and subject matter expert agreements
  • Provide administrative support to the HR staff as needed. Perform general office procedures, including: answering phones, process bulk mailings, file, order office supplies. Prepare new employee personnel files and maintain HR files and databases. Assist with audits
  • Assist Recruiter with recruitment responsibilities, including: interview scheduling, candidate reference and background checks, and arrange for out of state candidates travel and overnight accommodations when necessary.
  • Audit personnel and I9 files to ensure all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
  • Manage the volunteer process
  • Complete employment verification requests
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Track budget expenditures
  • Assist in the preparation for exit interviews
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:


Required Degree: Associate Degree
Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Required Field of Expertise: Experience working in a professional office setting

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Ability to work with a diverse group of applicants, various department, faculty, staff, and external constituents.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with frequent interruptions, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the institution
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to provide an exceptionally high level of quality customer service.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills



Additional Information:


Work Schedule


This is a full time, non-exempt, benefits eligible position. Normal business hours are Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, with one hour unpaid lunch. The schedule is flexible to the needs of the department.
