Associate Director of Development, Principal Gifts

Note: Not all unique aspects of this job are covered by this job description.

Overview:

Stanford Medicine is comprised of Stanford University School of Medicine, a premier research-intensive medical school, and Stanford Health Care, a hospital that is nationally recognized for quality patient care and leading-edge technology. Stanford is committed to a donor-centric approach to development. Every member of the Office of Development staff plays a role in providing the university's donors with the service and attention that ensures an exceptionally positive and fulfilling philanthropic experience. Stanford also believes that diversity and excellence go hand-in-hand and so hires individuals with a commitment to working effectively with colleagues and donors from diverse backgrounds.

Stanford's top-ranking Medical Center Development (MCD) team continues to build upon the generous support of its donor community, and is in the early stages of planning the next major fundraising effort in which Stanford Medicine will have newly-defined philanthropic priorities in alignment with the Stanford University-wide strategic vision. We anticipate fundraising around groundbreaking initiatives such as the Innovative Medicines Accelerator, a new Department for Health Policy, the new Stanford Cancer Center, expanded state of the art research facilities that bring together basic science, translational medicine and clinical care, as well as other Stanford Medicine fundraising priorities.

Within this framework, we seek experienced candidates for a Associate Director of Development to join the MCD Principal Gifts team.
