Advertised Job Summary:The Human Resources Associate will assist with the human resources operations of the Moore School of Business, by providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and performing HR actions as needed and/or requested. Serving as the College HR/Division Contact, the HR Associate is responsible for hiring and reappointment of FTE positions, affiliate appointments, dual appointments, temporary employees, and students.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in Human Resources at the collegiate level. Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleAdmin.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Extensive knowledge of policies and procedures related to the University’s faculty personnel operations, faculty review processes, academic affairs as it relates to faculty, fiscal operations and general management techniques and principles. Ability to analyze and present ideas in a clear and concise manner, both orally and writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally. Must have writing skills sufficient to compose and edit a variety of documents using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation with the ability to pay close attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular). Good organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines with frequent interruptions. Work requires initiative and independent judgment. Must be proactive. Ability to maintain electronic and hard copy records and files for easy access and retrieval. Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
