Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatric Psychology, as demonstrated with an internship and fellowship in this area. Training experiences in pediatric psycho-oncology are preferred. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Psychologist license eligible in PA.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical supervision of psychology externs and interns; lectures to pediatric residents, hematology/oncology fellows, and psychiatry residents.

Clinical responsibilities may include pediatric psychology consultation and intervention for patients treated in the CHOP Cancer Center including clinical services and program development for the Very Rare Malignant Tumor Program and patients seeking treatment through Phase 1 clinical trials (Developmental Therapeutics Program).

The Very Rare Malignant Tumors Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is a highly collaborative program that draws on the expertise of many types of specialists in pediatrics, such as radiation oncologists, orthopaedic surgeons, geneticists and dermatologists, as well as oncologists from at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania who treat adult patients. Our team aims to advance the care of patients with these tumors by using cancer genomics to identify targetable mutations.
