Your opportunity:

This is a very exciting time for Property Management at the University. As the principal contact for clients service needs across the campus, the group has recently undertaken an organizational review and identified areas of improvement to create a best-in-class client experience. This position was created to support a high performance team culture, foster staff development, and ensure a seamless client experience. Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the incumbent will work with a team of Property Managers, supporting and assisting them in managing a very diverse collection of University facilities. This position is critical in delivering a best-in-class client experience for a broad range of stakeholders across the campus.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Informing stakeholders of project progress
  • Checking that contracts are fulfilled as per the general conditions of the contract
  • Conducting routine building inspections
  • Identifying and reporting facility repair and/or maintenance needs
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Collating and organizing data for various reports
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of information in tender packages

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) in property or facilities management, or, acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years in a property management, facilities management or construction environment
  • Experience in contract administration
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Occupational Health & Safety regulations, regulations forhazardous material (mould/asbestos) control, CCDC2, and Ontario Building and Fire Codes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong skills in using aweb-based service management system
  • Excellent oral and communication skills with highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Strong in organization and planning
  • Proficient analytically and comfortable with budget management


Assets (Nonessential):

  • Certification in BOMA/IREM or CET
  • Knowledge of SAP
