The Administrative (Executive Director) Director of Finance and Reimbursement contributes to the fulfillment of the university's mission and vision by coordinating, developing, and implementing all activities related to the financial processes and procedures of the university. The Administrative (Executive Director) Director of Finance and Reimbursement oversees: finance, revenue cycle and reimbursement, strategic planning, chargemaster, budgets, capital, payer contracting, and finance-related regulatory affairs for University of Toledo Medical Center. This position collaborates with administration across the University to set the goals for the organization's annual objectives, evaluates operating results, trends, and financial performance and communicates those results to the administrative team.
Qualifications:Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Indicate minimum required to qualify or perform this job.) 1. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a directly related field. Prefer CPA or MBA.
2. Work requires 10-15 years of healthcare experience with financial management and/or financial auditing experience including knowledge of financial reporting in accordance with compliance standards. Must have worked in a leadership role with increasing responsibility. 3. Budget experience relevant to the position required; prefer experience with at a minimum $200 million annual operational expenses. 4. Prefer working knowledge of how healthcare is provided to patients in the hospital setting. 5. Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, APC, DRGs, and OPPS/IPPS required. 6. General understanding of: revenue cycle, capital, cost accounting, chargemaster, registration, payroll, and patient satisfactions functions within a healthcare setting. 7. General understanding of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid rules and reimbursement. 8. Prefer advanced Incident Command System (ICS) training, with a focus on advanced resource management provisions.Communication and Other Skills

Prefer working knowledge of how healthcare is provided to patients in the hospital setting. 4. Prefer advanced Incident Command System (ICS) training, with a focus on advanced resource management provisions.
