Nature of Work:

The Department of Education and Teacher Preparation seeks dynamic applicants who are interested in working with teacher candidates as field supervisors at the College of Coastal Georgia. Part time faculty members are assigned field supervision duties on an as-needed basis.

Essential Duties:

Qualified candidates will supervise teacher candidates in field experiences on-site elementary, middle grades, and secondary education settings. Travel will be required and reimbursed.

Minimum Qualifications and Training:

Qualifications include a terminal degree or a Master’s degree with significant professional experience in early childhood education, middle grades education, special education, or educational foundations with recent teaching experience and/or administrative experience in the public schools and/or at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications and Training:

Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate expertise working cooperatively with others, possess supervisory experience, exhibit a commitment to teacher candidate learning and success, and have a working knowledge of standards based instruction and assessment.
