Essential Job Duties:The person will do research in the chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, polymer and/or pulp and paper research arena. The person will search, read, understand and use published literature to guide research. The person will be required to propose, design and execute lab experiments. The person will do routine testing in a physical testing, material processing, and chemical lab. The person will be required to analyze, summarize, document the procedures and results and then write peer-reviewed journal articles. The person will be required to manage a lab, including safety, scheduling, stocking of materials, and maintenance of equipment.
Other Work/Responsibilities:Do extension activities as they come up, including hosting visitors, communicating results via popular outlets. Training graduate students in lab and research methods.
