Professional Research Assistant

A full-time Professional Research Assistant position is available in the Genomics Shared Resource Core lab at the Anschutz Medical Campus of University of Colorado located in Aurora, Colorado.  Primary duties for the position are to work with Core lab team to execute projects from Core lab customers utilizing Illumina Next Generation Sequencing Technologies, and 10X Genomics Single Cell Platforms.

  • RNA/DNA quantization and quality analysis
  • RNA/DNA molecular manipulation utilizing established molecular biology procedures
  • Real time PCR
  • Cell capture and tissue sectioning
  • Operate/maintain Illumina sequencing equipment, 10X Single Cell Equipment
  • Data transfer by internet/intranet

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or similar discipline
  • Five years’ work experience in academic or industry molecular biology research laboratory
