The Department of Clinical Pharmacy provides unprecedented opportunities for individuals with a strong commitment to an academic career encompassing innovative educational, service and scholarly activities. The school is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-eligible regular track faculty position at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor with training and experience in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research.

This faculty appointment in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy will enhance and expand the efforts of existing faculty members in this area. The position offers opportunities for innovation and excellence in teaching, research and service within the school’s Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research; its highly integrated entry-level Pharm.D. curriculum; and through its established collaborative arrangements with entities such as the Colorado State Medicaid program, local managed care organizations, the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER), practice-based research networks, and other organizations and health systems. Multidisciplinary collaborations with faculty in the School of Pharmacy’s Center for Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research (CePOR), the School of Medicine, the Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science, and the Colorado School of Public Health are also readily available and encouraged. Successful candidates are expected to develop a sustained program of extramurally funded research and scholarship in their area(s) of expertise. In addition to scholarly activity, successful candidates for this position are expected to be appropriately engaged in teaching within the Pharm.D. (entry-level and distance) and graduate programs, to provide service to the school and university, and to pursue endeavors that advance professional development as an academician. The School of Pharmacy is dedicated to ensuring the success of the Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research faculty, having committed graduate student stipends, computing resources and analytical support staff to this program. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 

    Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research or a closely related field, such as Health Economics/Cost Effectiveness, Decision Sciences, Health Services Research, or Epidemiology
Prefered Qualifications:

    Preference will be given to applicants who have a research focus in Health Economics/Cost Effectiveness, Health Technology Assessment, or Decision Sciences.  In addition to the doctoral degree requirement and disciplinary emphasis, a background in pharmacy and previous academic performance are preferred but not required. Faculty rank and salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
