TheAdministrative Specialist in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Department ofThoracic Medicine and Surgery provides administrative support to the clinicalresearch team.


Responsibilitiesinclude: entering data into clinical sites under the direction of the ClinicalNurse Manager; following-up with clinical research study subjects via phone;performing administrative tasks such as organizing and maintaining files,correspondences, other records, and reads and routes incoming mail/packages. Inaddition, the Administrative Specialist coordinates and arranges meetings includingreserving facilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

RequiredEducation and Experience:

Bachelor’sDegree and at least two years of directly related administrative experience inan academic environment. An equivalent combination of education and experiencemay be considered.

*Demonstratedproficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

*Strongcustomer service and interpersonal skills, along with the ability toeffectively interact with a diverse group of students, faculty, administratorsand staff.

*Strongattention to detail.

*Strongwritten and verbal communication skills.

*Demonstratedresourcefulness, initiative, and follow-through.

*Demonstratedability to proofread, edit and compose correspondence.
