Job Description:

Description: This position will work closely with agency staff in the Human Resources department to support the department in the recruiting, on-boarding, and retention of agency staff.  

Organization/Agency Overview: Established in 1984, Equitas Health is a regional nonprofit community healthcare system. A federally-designated Community Health Center, it is one of the largest LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS serving healthcare organizations in the United States.

Duties are numbered for convenience, and do not indicate order in terms of importance, frequency that the duty is performed, or the amount of time spent on the duty.

Assist the Human Resources department with major projects, including but not limited to:

  • new hire onboarding,
  • screening,
  • personnel file management,
  • payroll,
  • data entry, and more.

Responsible for filing, data entry, completion of forms, assisting HR personnel with routine paperwork, assists with audits and assists with various mailing. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
Skill in: organization; written and verbal communication; attention to detail; creativity; problem solving; telephone and computer skills (including typing, email, and fundamental understanding of Microsoft Office).

Ability to: work independently as well as a team member; work with highly sensitive confidential information.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires applicants to have Federal Work Study as part of their current Financial Aid package with Columbus State. You must also be enrolled in SIX or more credit hours in a degree or certificate program. Applicants must have received a high school diploma or a certificate of attendance from an accredited secondary school or a certificate of high school equivalence and be exempt from Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4109. 

Must have reliable transportation or other means to get to work regularly. 

Students enrolled as Transient, College Credit Plus, Undecided, or otherwise non degree-seeking are not considered eligible for Student Employment.
