Regular Full-time, Pay Grade 40
As a member of the SWORPS Program and Training Evaluation Team, this position works under the direction of the Sr. Research Associate II and in collaboration with other SWORPS staff and clients to develop and implement a variety of evaluation plans. The external funding for this position varies from year to year so the specific responsibilities vary accordingly.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Completing evaluation activities on several different projects
• Assist in developing and updating evaluation plans
• Develop or identify data collection tools
• Conduct literature reviews
• Collect data through observation, interviews, focus groups, surveys and review of administrative data
• Synthesize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data
• Coordinate with internal publications staff to produce work products
• Produce useful work products tailored to clients' needs, including reports and presentations, based on evaluation findings
• Tailor evaluation findings to stakeholder audience

Managing client relationships and needs
Develop positive and trusting relationships with program staff
Independent communication, decision-making, and recommendations
Respond to client communication in a timely and professional manner through telephone and email
Present evaluation findings to clients and other program stakeholders

Data Management and Analysis
• Liaison with client to ensure data quality and completeness
• Work with internal software designers to determine database specification and reporting needs
• Coordinate with project statistician
• Organize and maintain client data sets for evaluation projects


Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:Master's degree in Social science, public health, social work or related field required.
Required level/type of experience:
2 years social science research/program evaluation experience
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office software

Preferred level/type of experience:
Previous experience working in agency delivering social services
Demonstrated experience with computer programs such as SPSS.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Demonstrated skill in data visualization
Demonstrated skill in data analysis using a variety of statistical techniques and SPSS
Experience presenting evaluation/research findings in a variety of formats and settings

Competencies/Qualifications:
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methods
Knowledge of MS Office
Knowledge of statistical software packages and statical analysis methodologies
Demonstrated skill in collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data
Demonstrated skill in written and oral communication
Ability to positively interact with colleagues and program staff
Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Ability to be flexible with respect to changing needs of the project
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
