Boston University Academy is seeking a full-time visual arts teacher to begin in August 2021 for the 2021- 2022 academic year. Primary responsibilities include teaching two sections of ninth-grade studio art, two sections of tenth-grade studio art, and one section of studio arts seminar for juniors and seniors. BUA faculty are also involved outside the classroom in a variety of ways, including advising, chaperoning trips and events, and leading extracurricular activities.

As the only high school in New England that is part of a major research university, Boston University Academy (BUA) offers students who love learning both a traditional, caring independent school experience and access to a broad range of university courses. In the eleventh and twelfth grades, students follow their passions by regularly completing up to twelve courses from Boston University’s undergraduate curriculum. The school’s 202 students are curious, capable, and kind. They come from 55 cities and towns in the Greater Boston area. 57% of students identify as students of color. 31% of students are on financial aid — a reflection of BUA’s commitment to equity and access.

To be considered, please upload a resume, list of references (if available), and cover letter by clicking "New Resume/CV" addressed to Dr. Rosemary White, Assistant Head of School for Academics and Student Affairs. Please send any questions to [email protected].
