Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:

Under general supervision performs SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic RT-PCR testing in a CLIA-certified high complexity lab.

This is a Grant Funded position.

Essential Duties Summary:

•Handles end-to-end processing of patient samples from specimen prep to test analysis and reporting results adhering to the Section’s Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
•Performs required maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting procedures on instruments.
•Performs required Quality Control procedures and maintaining records.
•Participates in training and continuing education to enhance technical skills.
•Responsible for inventory of supplies.
•Adheres to all regulatory requirements.
•Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:

$20.181155 - $25.2261

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or higher in medical technology, clinical laboratory science or chemical, physical, or biological science OR Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.

Required Licensing/Certification:

ASCP or AMT certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

•Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
•Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.
