Advertised Job Summary:Assist Administration with coordination and execution of pre-and post-award activity for approximately 8 to 10 million per annum in external funding, including pre-award advisement, budget development, submittal of proposals through pre award and post-award financial activity.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):Bachelor’s degree and 6 years business, personnel, grant-in-aid or public administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications:In addition to the minimum qualification, an Accounting degree and experience working in the UofSC Comptroller’s office is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, federal and state policies and procedures. Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data, reports, policies and procedures. Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, accounting software applications and general office technology. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of fiscal personnel, establish and maintain working relationships with others. Preferred experience: Peoplesoft; University of South Carolina Electronic Research Administration (USCERA); Grants.gov. Accounting degree and 5 years relevant experience in business administration, public administration, or academic administration environment or equivalency.
