Department Summary:

The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Gibson D. Lewis Library serves as the Regional Medical Library (RML) for the Network of the National Library of Medicine South Central Region (NNLM SCR). As the RML, we coordinate outreach services and provide programming on behalf of the National Library of Medicine throughout Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. This office is funded through a cooperative agreement from the National Library of Medicine, an institute of the National Institutes of Health.

Position Summary:

This part-time contract position is responsible for monitoring the department budget and performing complex analysis of departmental federal subaward budgets and vendor agreements. Ensures timely payment of vendor invoices, tracks expenditures. This position will have other administrative duties to enhance the operations of the office.

•Prepare a variety of periodic financial reports and updates for distribution to departmental
management and funding agency.
•Work with relevant university offices to review contracts for vendor agreements and subawards.
•Process purchasing requests, invoices and payment requests related to project activities; monitor and obtain appropriate approvals for expenditures.
•Assist with submitting carryforward documents and ad-hoc reporting.
•Tracking sub awardee and vendor reports in order to accept invoices.
•Communications with sub awardees, such as reminders to submit invoices.
•Managing and organizing electronic files and documents.
•Attend quarterly grant check in meetings with staff to assist with budgetary subaward contract questions or re-budget requests.
•Answering general inquiries from sub-awardees and vendor agreements while representing the office in accordance to UNT HSC values.
•Additional administrative duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

Contractor must have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or similar field and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday (except holidays and negotiated time off) for 25 hours a week, within the hours of 8am to 5pm.
