Position Description

This position serves as primary liaison between the College and all clinical agencies. The Clinical Coordinator is expected to be a decisive leader with superb time management, record keeping and organizational skills. This position ensures students and faculty are compliant with all requirements needed for clinical experiences. Excellent customer service skills as they will have a high degree of communication with internal and external entities, and be communicating with students and clinical site representatives often. This individual should be able to work comfortably under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and can effectively react to emergency situations and last minute changes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Facilitate health student placement in clinical agencies. Maintain student documentation/records for each clinical agency. Maintain faculty documentation/records for each clinical agency. Attend team meetings for programs on student placement and progression. Work directly and collaboratively with Program Directors and the Learning Coordinator.Attend all health advisory board meetings. Prepare and deliver informational presentations to students, staff, faculty, and clinical agencies. Communicate with a third party company that manages students’ background checks and health documentation.Knowledge of safety guidelines. Knowledge of accreditation standards and guidelines.Develop program relationship for all clinical stakeholders.Facilitate all student follow up for all health document requirements and student onboarding for each clinical site.
  • This includes orientation and training materials for students and staff.
  • This includes ensuring students meet health requirements for each clinical site as each site has specific requirements.
Manage clinical site clearance for all faculty.
  • Facilitate faculty training for clinical experience, including adjunct faculty.
Collaborate with Learning Coordinator.
  • Manage all student health documents in conjunction with Learning Coordinator.
  • Send updates and documents to each clinical site.
Facilitate new clinical experiences for students.Manage Preceptorship models, training, and experiences. Manage all clinical site contracts.
  • Develop new contracts for new clinical experiences.
  • Review all contracts annually and update with all facility changes.
Ensure compliance with institution, program requirements, state board agencies, and accreditation requirements.Assist clinical agencies as necessary in relation to agency accreditation and compliance. Attend clinical agency meetings and perform site visits throughout the NTC district with industry partners and regional campus locations.Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree OR an Associate’s degree with the agreement to obtain a Bachelor’s degree after hire. An educational degree in a health related or Business Administration/Business-related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and leadership.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related experience in similar position or activities which includes:
    • Knowledge and experience in a healthcare system or college (technical or university) preferred Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment in a variety of settings, situations, and areasAbility to multi-task, prioritize assignments and manage complexity under deadlinesMaintain confidentiality within the collegeAbility to work in an environment that has multiple calendar due dates and achieve goals to meet internal and external customer needs. Flexible scheduling is a must.Extensive experience with managing a large amount of data with software or programsOperational knowledge of Software Package: MS Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, WIDS and shared point drive Demonstrate leadership, customer service, organizational, communicational, problem solving and critical thinking skills in a learner center environment

    Additional Physical Requirements:
    Vision: Adequate with aid to read instructions, labels, documents, computer screens, and differentiate between colors.
    Hearing: Adequate with aid to understand oral requests, telephone conversation, and PA systems.

    Required Employee Program and Safety Training:
    Emergency Action Plan, Emergency Procedures, Ergonomics (Office/Workplace), Slips, Trips and Falls, AED/CRP (optional), Fire Extinguishers (optional).
