Position Summary
The Department of Natural Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a part-time faculty position in the fields of Physical Chemistry and/or Analytical chemistry effective Spring 2021. The department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated faculty member who is committed to innovative teaching. Active engagement in research is a plus. Prospective candidates must have earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry and/or Analytical chemistry. The successful candidate(s) is/are expected to teach a variety of courses in the field of Chemistry in Byblos campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses and laboratories in chemistry
- Engage innovation in teaching
- Provide courses and laboratories rich in student engagement
Qualifications
- PhD in Physical Chemistry and/or Analytical chemistry
- Active engagement in research is a plus
The Department
The Department of Natural Sciences (http://sas.lau.edu.lb/natural-sciences/) is one of the seven departments of the School of Arts and Sciences (http://sas.lau.edu.lb/) at LAU. It offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology, a B.S. in Chemistry, a B.S. in Nutrition, and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Molecular Biology.
