The department of Computer and Mathematics is seeking highly qualified and motivated faculty members who are committed to innovative teaching. Prospective candidates must have earned a PhD in Statistics or an MS with substantial experience in Structural Equation Modelling and the R language. The successful candidate(s) is/are expected to teach a variety of statistics courses on Byblos or Beirut campuses, in person or online.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants should have an extensive knowledge of Structural Equation Modelling
- Applicants should have a substantial experience with the R language
- Applicants should have a substantial experience with the SPSS software
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate statistics courses such as advanced research methods for the social sciences
- Engage in scholarly work and research
- Advise and mentor students
- Additional duties may be set by the department in light of departmental needs and priorities
The Department of Computer Science & Mathematics is one of the seven departments of the School of Arts and Sciences at LAU. It offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science, a B.S. in Bioinformatics, a B.S. in Mathematics, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied and Computational Mathematics and an M.S. in Computer Science.
LAU has two campuses, one in Beirut and the other in Byblos, about 35 kilometers north of Beirut.
